TDRA Refuses the use of Common Community Center

04th July 2012

Dear Fellow Residents,

Our association had written to TDRA to allow us to upgrade the security center ant TDP1RA own cost. This is necessary to improve our security system.

Please find below the correspondences with regards the above matter which is self explanatory.

We deeply regret TDRA stands on this matter.

Yours Faithfully

Wong Chee How
TDP1RA President

  1. Mr Wong,

Thank you for you & your committees fantastic work. Please do not succumb to critics who are selfish & criticize without a cause.

I read TDRA's letter in response. I am quite sure he has got is facts wrong.

First of all, the 2 Pondoks at the padang was built by Faber for Rukun Tetangga in 1980. Rukun Tetangga did not take off so it was handed over to DBKL as part of the handing over of the Playground to DBKL.

Secondly, TDRA applied to DBKL to use the buildings for RA purposes which was then granted. There is no such thing as EXCLUSIVE USE BY TDRA. The building which the land stands on belongs to DBKL! If TDRA is no longer responsible for the area then they should VACATE! Such arrogance!

The only building that TDRA can claim to be theirs is the Community Hall. Other than that, TDRA built the awning which acts as a foyer between the 2 pondoks.

Please check the above with former TDRA Committee members who are still alive especially those from 1980 to 1984 who are still living in Taman Desa like Mr Sambanthan & Mr Da Silva. I am sure they will know better.

It is so sad to see what has happened. I no longer live in Taman Desa as I have emigrated but my siblings still do - on both sides of the divide.

Keep up the Good Work & greetings from Down Under
