ANOTHER ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN THWARTED BY TDP1RA SECURITY

03RD MAY 2012

Dear Fellow Phase 1 Residents,

At about 7.10pm, on Tuesday 1st, May 2012, a black BMW 545i we spotted driving along Jalan Desa Ria 2 and subsequently parked beside one of a house in Jalan Desa Damai. 2 Chinese men were inside the car and acted suspiciously. The patrolling security guard alerted a TDP1RA committee member. The patrolling security officer made few rounds up and down the road which made the burglars panicked and resulting in them decided to abandon the car and fled by foot toward Desa Murni Condo.  RA committee managed to inform the Taman Desa police station and within minutes 5 officers came over to the scene. Both the Police and Guards immediate launched a patrolling search for the suspects, unfortunately the burglars managed to flee. Nevertheless, with the alertness of the patrolling security office and RA members, a break- in has been prevented.

Later police inform the RA members that the BMW car was stolen on 27th April 2012 in Subang Jaya and these burglars were trying to use the car to commit burglary before abandoning it.

Police have also advice our security guards to practice a more stringent checking at the entrances (especially for car without stickers), otherwise the burglars will be able to sneak in.

Our advice to all residents:

1.   Please let your neighbours know that you are going somewhere. If possible the time you will be back.
2.   Secure your gates and grille door with proper locks. If possible reinforce these doors.
3.   Install electronic alarm, if you can.
4.   Most important of all, help each other and keep watch over one another. The security guards cannot be everywhere. They can only prevent some crimes from happening. If you see suspicious characters with luxurious cars, alert the guards at: 012- 9206068 immediately. They will come to the location soonest possible. They can also keep vigilance at the entrance/exit posts.

 Thank you

Yours faithfully

(WONG CHEE HOW)
