Residents of Jalan Desa Aman
Dear Residents,
It has come to our attention that
there is attempt to oppose the above which is a threat to the general safety
and security of residents Jalan Desa Aman in particular.
The objectives for the closure of
the above are:
1. To prevent
thefts & burglaries by not allowing accessibility to criminals.
2. To prevent
Teratak Muhibbah residents from parking their cars along Jalan Desa Aman
3. To eliminate
the traffic risk at the abovementioned junction.
4. To enhance
privacy and exclusivity to houses along Jalan Desa Aman and Desa Damai, this
will enhance the property values in the area.
5. To reduce
long term security cost.
We have already submitted the
necessary documentation to DBKL to effect the above. As a matter of fact, this
has been viewed favorably by many if not all.
Pursuant to Circulars sent out to
you on (20/06/2012 ), (26/06/2012 ) & (29/06/2012 ) efforts were also made
by members to set-up a Complaint /
Objection Counter for residents to lodge their objection to the closure for 5
weeks in June & July 2012. During this period there was only
ONE resident from Jalan Desa Aman who came forth to object the setting up of
the Wave Access Card system on grounds of inconvenience and NEVER objected to
the proposed permanent closure of Jalan Desa Aman.
We urge you to carefully consider
the facts of the matter. You have enjoyed safety and security since the Guarded
Neighbourhood Scheme was introduced in 2010. We are well aware of outside
elements that are out to see the collapse of our Security Scheme which if
happens, will expose the entire Phase 1 to burglaries, house break-ins, car
thefts, snatch thefts etc. DO YOU WANT
TO SEE OUR COMMUNITY LIVING IN FEAR?
Once again, PLEASE CONSIDER the
Benefits of the Permanent Closure. We have come so far – a slight inconvenience
of travelling an extra 600 meters for Community Well Being is a small
inconvenience. Community Safety &
Security is a Shared Responsibility. Its effectiveness is dependent on
Community Spirit.
Please contact us should you require
any further information or clarification.
Thank you
Yours faithfully
WONG CHEE HOW
what legal right does the association have to permanent restrict access to roads without the permission of ALL residents of the road involved? further to this, the security guard program may have been put in place to safeguard the residents of Taman Desa, but hardly any of the guards do proper checks on the cars that come into the compound.
ReplyDeletewhile the association's efforts to maintain the safety of taman desa residents is appreciated, the association's recommendations should not be forced on everyone, just because they believe that their recommendations and reasons for them are sound. this is ESPECIALLY so if the residents in the area veto the idea. in fact, the only options available to those where the association proposes to have permanent road closures are a) inconvenience or b) to fork out extra cost for a wave barrier.
if the security guard program was working as it should be, these measures should not even be considered?
Whoever the person that proposed the above please come forward to run the security scheme. Honestly speaking we are sick and tired with this kind of residents who only knows how to comment and never even want to participate in any effort to improve the level of security within the guarded neighbourhood.
DeleteYou could be staying in a bungalow, driving a luxury car, jet setting all over the world but it does not mean you can belittle other residents who live in smaller homes, drives smaller cars and lesser off in material wealth.
