05th April 2011: We have been silent for the last 2 days as we have been very concerned by some feedback which we received during our rounds. We were shocked and appalled by the nature of the comments and we thank our neighbours for their honesty and forthrightness. We uphold the principle of Transparency and Community before Self in our efforts to make Taman Desa a safer place to call home and hopefully, An Address of Choice in Kuala Lumpur.
Having deliberated and weighed the pros and cons, it was collectively decided that we share it with all. We were informed that certain quarters have used racial intonation on the Security Services.
We are appalled by such attempts be it intended or otherwise. In this day and age, as responsible adults and being Malaysians in particular should appreciate racial intonations MUST NEVER be used for any purpose. It is very sad that within the Taman Desa Community exist such person(s) with such shallow thinking and malicious minded.
For the record, the Security Service Provider, Tuah Guard (M) Sdn Bhd is a 100% Bumiputera Company which has been in business for 36 years. The Security Guards for Taman Desa Phase 1 are recruited not based on any particular race or creed. They are employed to do a job and that’s it. They either perform or they don’t. Hence the sudden increase in the number of non-Malay guards does not mean there is a policy of reducing the number of Malay personnel. It is not about Indian Security vs. Non-Indian Security.
If possible, we would like to see Security Guards of various races – so long as they are MALAYSIANS and NOT Foreigners who neither understand our culture nor speak our language(s). Worse still, unsure if they are adequately vetted for Security and Health.
We do not wish to elaborate any further on this matter. We sincerely hope that all members of the Community will advise any person(s) who attempt to play the racial card to IMMEDIATELY CEASE doing so and if necessary, to stay away from such person(s).
Thank you
The Committee

I think I know one of them who are going around spreading this kind of rumours and instigating residents not to joint the security scheme. This is done while the person go around in the pretext of morning walk but will stop by at residents house and engage in friendly conversation of which later will be diverted to all this rumours. . I for one happy to join the scheme and want this area to be safe and I feel the person is not doing anything good for the residents. Hopefully this person will stop all this nonsense as soon as possible or else I will expose the person.
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong....
ReplyDeleteWe must respect individual's choice to subscribe or not to subscribe to the security scheme.
But we cannot condone such act of malicious gossips to misguide others. Please do not be a coward, come out to the open and voice your opinion as a matured, rational, & god-fearing adult would do! We feel the New Committee will be too willing to listen to your Complaints and Grievances.
We respect your blind loyalty, but you do have civic responsibility to residents in Phase 1. Please do not breach the very security that the whole community hold dearly to, at the expense of your blind loyalty to one individual. We appeal to your wisdom to be able to differential the separate issues of individual loyalty and community security. Do not be blinded by your EMOTION! (Once again, we appeal to your wisdom)
History will be the judge and your grandchildren will bear the blunt of what you have committed.
Can we've a tab for FAQs?
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's time for you to engage the TDRA committee in a round table meeting to trash out nagging issues. Hope there are some sensible committee members in TDRA who are empathetic towards our cause.
Dear Resident, thank you for your suggestion. FYI, we are in the process of getting ready the FAQ. Once it is ready we will put it up in the blog. Enjoy reading the news update in this blog.

Believe me, we have tried many times to engage the TDRA committee... unfortunately without much success. That is the reason why we are where we are. The only hope now is that we can put it all behind us and work together as ONE community, even though we have two RAs. We are willing... not too sure TDRA is.
ReplyDeleteWe pray that the committee will stand firm and remain committed to serve the residents in Phase 1.
ReplyDeleteTruth will ultimately prevail where pains to bring it to light.

Hi ladies and gentlemen, keep it up the fantastic job that been done. I was shock to see such a big group going around canvassing at Jalan Desa Ria 1 yesterday evening.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this kind of commitment and show of unity by any group to make our residential area a safer place to live.
Just wonder where all these people have been prior to this? Why TDRA fail to tap on them? It’s indeed really sad TDRA let this split to take place. Kudos to TDP1RA and it’s committee members
We are very fortunate to have this group of dedicated residents in Phase 1. they are building bridges to reach out to everyone and connect us with one another!
ReplyDeleteanother round of kudos to TDP1RA committee & their volunteers!
Here I can see that some residents here are not willing to subscribre for the security scheme.
ReplyDeletemore then 90% take part for the security scheme,
will be a good respond
As my neighbour does not care ,not concerning to subscribre after discussing with them.......
Well we don't have blame each other for those not supporting the security scheme for the past few years.

These family must be crazy, the husband wash his car during at night, and the wife sweep the floor outside the gate at night>>
ReplyDeleteThe family does not take part the security scheme,I think I should know the reason for them to doing that at night.
It's show that taman desa phase 1 is a safe place .

I am a old resident of TD and I am gravely saddened by the split of the RA. I have heard about the disagreement of the 2 factions.
ReplyDeleteCan I implore all to try not to attack members of the community?
TDRA1RA- On the one breath you say/blog that each has a choice to subscribe or not; but then comes some subtle insinuation or direct attack on those who don't. Maybe the administrator need to be more discerning on what is posted.
The worst culprit is TDRA, which employs under-handed methods to persuade the residents.
Kindness, understanding and patience are the way to go. I wonder if it's worth it? A broken community is a fallen community. What is the meaning of a RA? We are the laughing stock of other RAs.
All the best
