We are pleased to inform that Alam Flora will be launching its campaign to distribute new standardised waste bins to Taman Desa Phase 1 Residents on the following date and time:
Date : 13th January 2012
Time : 0930 am to 13.00pm
Venue : Jalan Desa Setia, Taman Desa
Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung will be launching the distribution event. For your information some activities and meal been arranged by Alam Flora for the event.
"The free garbage bin is in line with the enforcement of the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007 (Act 672) on Sept 1 last year," The move was to ensure all houses are equipped with proper bins for domestic waste before they were collected by solid waste contractors.
The current waste collection service by Alam Flora is difficult as there are no proper waste bins to standardise the collection procedure. With the new bins and newly purchased garbage trucks that feature lifting and unloading mechanisms, waste collection would be standardised and more efficient.
The bins are made of high-density polyethylene which is resistant to extreme weather conditions. The bins are also waterproof and will prevent odour from spreading as long as the lid is closed correctly. The 120-litre bins with lids have a waste capacity of between 50kg and 60kg, and are safe and clean for both users and Alam Flora rubbish collecting team.
To make the distribution process easier TDP 1RA will engage the security personals assistance in going from house to house to get the application form been filled up. The bins can be collected at the function venue on Friday or else it will be delivered to your residences.
Note: Residents that not able to receive the bins on the above date will need to collect it during the next phase. The Second phase of distribution of garbage bins is been planned for middle of February 2012.
